The proprietor of Takashima Ryokan walks to the fisherman’s wharf every morning to pick out fresh seafood. At the port early in the morning, you can feel the seriousness of the fishermen up close, and experience views of the sea that vary day by day. The breakfast of freshly-caught squid and steamed rice served at Takashima Ryokan is a simple, luxurious meal unique to port towns.
