Learn about the deep connection between the fishing industry of Iwanai and traditional kamaboko making.
OVERVIEW
“Established in 1899, Yoshida Kamabokoten makes premium kamaboko fish paste using old-fashioned manufacturing techniques. They use 100% Hokkaido Suketoudara. Kids can make their own kamaboko, cutting the fish paste with shaped molds, and adults can experience the processes for shaping and frying kamaboko. Enjoy freshly-fried kamaboko in the season when Hokkaido Suketoudara is most delicious.”
