Kiko-in Temple, designated as Iwanai Town’s first Tangible Cultural Property, continues to watch over the town to this day. In a guided tour led by the head priest, visitors can learn about the temple’s history and the beauty of its architecture, and even touch and experience authentic Buddhist ritual implements and traditional Japanese instruments.

Yoshida Kamabokoten

Iwanai Shrine is said to have been established in 1789 (Kansei 1) to express gratitude for the safety of the fishermen and the blessings of the sea. During the prayer service, the Shinto priest will pray for the safety of your journey and calm weather.

Arai Memorial Museum of Art

The DISCOVER IWANAI PASS is only valid for the duration of your stay, including the check-out date.

FAQ

Can I use the 「DISCOVER IWANAI PASS」 as many times as I want until Sunday, February 8th?

Yes, you can use it. 「DISCOVER IWANAI PASS」 usage period is stated as the length of your stay including the checkout date, but it remains valid until Sunday, February 8th. You can continue using it even after collecting five stamps and receiving your T-shirt.

Is there a limit on the number of participants per group? Can we use it if one person has a 「DISCOVER IWANAI PASS」?

The experience at the Arai Memorial Museum and Kiko-in Temple can be used by one group per 「DISCOVER IWANAI PASS」. As long as one 「DISCOVER IWANAI PASS」 holder is present, there is no limit on the number of accompanying guests; they can participate as one group. For other experiences, only the person who purchased the 「DISCOVER IWANAI PASS」 can participate.
